About Us

Abbie's Sporting Goods was established in 1948 and is the oldest sporting goods store in Vancouver. Albert Bevilacqua originally opened the shop on Main and 12th avenue, but we just moved to our present location on 32nd Ave. We are dedicated to the involvement and support of all youth in sports and have been sponsoring youth and amateur clubs for 60 years.

There is a common misconception that small business cannot compete with the big corporations. Not only is our selection and service better than the big boxes, so are our prices.

Our true strength has always been our commitment to our community. Our involvement through coaching, sponsoring events, organizing tournaments and by supporting local schools and charities has solidified our roots throughout the lower mainland. We are the oldest sports shop in Vancouver for a reason and we are proud to support the following:
